Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre 19 - 20 March 2014
The Australian Telehealth Conference (ATC) ) is proudly brought to you by the Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA), the Allied Health Professions Australia, the Australasian Telehealth Society, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, the Australian Medicare Local Alliance, the Health Information Management Association of Australia and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Building on the success of our previous events, ATC 2014 will attract Australia's largest and most diverse group of telehealth stakeholders.
Following the success of two previous Australian Telehealth Conferences, the primary theme for ATC 2014 is “Building for the Future”. Collectively, we know we can affect the reform agenda to achieve large scale telehealth adoption throughout Australia – it is this that binds the 7 auspicing organisations behind ATC and we invite you to help us build the future of telehealth in Australia.
The conference will focus on opportunities that satisfy the health sector’s resource constraints; building a financial model that works and contributing to the evolving Australian Telehealth Strategy. These will be explored and debated within key focus areas such as models of shared care, mHealth, the Australian Telehealth Strategy, rural and remote telehealth, telehealthcare – community care, aged care and care in the home, the transforming role of telehealth and how connectivity has transformed the delivery of healthcare. The conference will be chaired by Denis Tebbutt whose passion, experience and knowledge for all things telehealth will be the driving force behind the event.
