Scientific Abstracts (long abstract, 2 pages, 1000 words):

Scientific submissions require a long abstract (1000 words) and should address research areas of contemporary interest aligned with the topics of interest for the conference.

The best abstracts will be presented in the conference scientific sessions. The most relevant and top-quality abstracts presented will be invited to produce a full paper and after review by scientific committee members will be recommended for publication at a special issue of the BMC Journal 'Health Information Science and Systems.'

Industry/Clinical Case Study Abstracts (600 word overview):

Industry/clinical case study submissions require a 600 word abstract describing what you would like to speak on. Presenting at Big Data 2013 is a fantastic way to partner with healthcare facilities, clinicians, vendors and researchers to present a compelling case for the value of 'on the shop floor' implementations and issues and to get feedback from your peers.
