The HIMSS Nursing Informatics Community of Profession has seen tremendous success in understanding and exploring the impact of the informatics nurse professional.  And our own Joyce Sensmeier, Vice President, Informatics, HIMSS has been invaluable to the cause.  Additionally, the release of the HIMSS Impact of the Informatics Nurse Survey suggests informatics nurse professionals play an instrumental role in their organizations from a variety of strategic vantage points.

The HIMSS nursing community continues to grow and expand in scope and reach.  Because of this continued growth, HIMSS reach into this community is now offering a second one-day nursing institute event under the auspices of Professional Development and Informatics and in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic Health System.

Hosted by Cleveland Clinic Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence, this event will occur on Thursday, May 31, 2012  from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Cleveland Clinic, Bunts Auditorium Jennings Education Building 2045 East 90th Street, Cleveland, OH 44195.  Our host overseeing the event will be Marianela "Nelita” Zytkowski, DNP, MS, BSN, RN – BC, Senior Director, Nursing Informatics, Cleveland Clinic Health System.  This venue promises to support participants in learning from the nation’s nursing informatics leaders.
