Maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries in the world of social
media can be a real challenge for patients and the health professionals
who care for them.
Advice from the Nursing and Midwifery Council
issued last year warned that nurses and midwives must not overstep
those boundaries by sharing confidential information, distributing
images taken in clinical environments or pursuing personal relationships
with patients online.
