Trixie Kemp President HIMAA Tasmania Branch

Trixie Kemp has worked in the health industry for over 20 years mainly in health information management teams and on e-health projects. Trixie’s experience covers records management, clinical forms, e-health implementations, system management, data management, reporting, project management and frontline management. Trixie is qualified in ITIL, PRINCE2 Practitioner and is currently working towards her Masters in Health Information Management. Trixie is the currently working as the Manager Medical Records for the Tasmania Health Service, President of the HIMAA Tasmania Branch as well as volunteering at Trowunna Wildlife Park and Riding School for the Disabled.

    


E-health as a Service (eHaaS)
Around the globe digital healthcare services delivered more frustrations, disappointments than positive outcomes. Parts of these issues were lack of understanding value of the e-health services. There is ample information on e-health failures than success. However, other part of the world the e-health projects are progressing positively. In this talk we will share the success stories pertaining to South Asian region (e.g., Sri Lanka) and review Institutional Theory on such successful e-health project.

Dr Tony Sahama Senior Lecturer, Information Security Discipline, Science and Engineering Faculty (SEF), Queensland University of Technology

Tony is a senior lecturer in the Information Security Discipline, Science and Engineering Faculty (SEF), Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Tony’s research interest is in Medical and Health Informatics in particular, Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), Information Accountability (IA) and Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) design and development. Tony possesses PhD in Computer Science (Computer Simulation and Modelling, DACE), and has experience working with researchers in developing customised technology applications for Clinical Decision Support Systems, Data warehousing, Data Integration and IT applications for healthcare decision making processes. Tony’s recent work is in developing IT educational applications for consumers in the PACT arena (People Accepting Controversial Technologies). Currently, Tony is supervising six PhD level research projects in the Medical Informatics, Health Informatics, eHealth and Health Information Technology research areas.
