Get big on data and mobile health and HISA Western Australia AGM
This event features two very topical subjects being presented by experts in their particular areas of interest.
cView – Providing essential information to clinicians whilst on the move
cView is a "view only" web based application that provides a platform for clinicians to use tablet devices (e.g. iPad, iPad mini) to view patient information and results. Chris Hansford will be providing an overview of the cView application and demonstrating how it is being used to provide clinicians with very useful information, whilst they are on the move.
Big data and predictive analytics in healthcare
This presentation will provide an opportunity to get the latest insights into how big data is providing significant benefits for healthcare, especially in areas like enabling predictive analytics. This is a very fast moving and rapidly developing area of health informatics and offers many exciting career opportunities for health informaticians as we go forward. A/Prof Trish Williams, who has participated in the very recent HISA Big Data conference in Melbourne, will be giving an overview of all the latest developments and facilitating a discussion around the potential future developments in this area.
Participants will benefit from these sessions by:
- Seeing first-hand how new innovative mobile device based applications are potentially revolutionising healthcare service delivery within the WA public health sector;
- Learning about all the latest innovations in how ‘big data’, in its many applications, has significant potential to change how we think about changing the designing and delivery of our healthcare systems; and
- Having the opportunity to participate in some lively discussions about how we continue to develop and promote these initiatives in WA
AGM
Western Australia has a growing community of e-health and health informatics proponents, leaders and experts. Our branch of HISA continues to attract a diverse and influential audience across the spectrum of health. HISA WA members will be invited to participate in the HISA WA AGM. We hope all HISA members in Western Australia will be able to take part following the presentations.
