Fiona
will provide an overview of developments in digital hospital and e-health around
the world, what it means and what it can deliver for the health system and for
patients. She’ll discuss how to avoid being "digital by default” and instead
maximise the outcomes that can be realized through investment in digital
technologies.
Simon will then
relate that to the role of the Integration Engine in the new Royal Adelaide
Hospital and the outcomes and benefits that it will provide to patients and
staff when the hospital opens in 2016.
Fiona Stuart
is a Master Certified IT Architect working at
Hewlett-Packard where she focuses on applying HP™s capabilities to align
ICT with business needs and to bring value to HP and its customers within
the Healthcare Provider industry segment. She has broad industry
experience and has undertaken a wide range of senior roles in successful
projects.
Simon Steele is HP’s Solution Manager for the ICT package of
work relating to Equipment Integration and the Integration Engine on the Design
& Construct contract for the new Royal Adelaide Hospital. He is responsible
for the overall design approach of the Integration Engine, which involves the
integration of ICT systems that will operate the hospital facility and provides
integration with the State’s e-health systems.
