Speaker : Nigel Chartres

On Thursday 18th and Friday 19th April HISA ran Australia's first ever 'Big Data In Health & Biomedicine' Conference in Melbourne.

Around 200 delegates participated in the various sessions and forums which covered the many aspects and issues of this really interesting and significant subject.

There were many lively discussions about the incredible potential benefits that big data can bring into healthcare for improving health outcomes. As always there are challenges in working out how best to deliver these benefits.

Nigel Chartres, who has put together an overview of this landmark conference, will share this with you and highlight the major points and issues in going forward into the future of using big data in health.

He will be encouraging discussion and is keen hear your views and ideas on how we progress some of these initiatives in WA.

Following Nigel's presentation HISA WA members will be invited to participate in the HISA WA AGM. We hope all HISA members in Western Austrlia will be able to take part.
