HISA NSW offers you the opportunity to hear the highlights from the recent 2013 Medinfo conference, the 14th World Congress on Medical and Health Informatics which took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. Medinfo 2013 addressed the challenges in "Conducting medical informatics by: Converging technologies, conveying sciences and connecting people”.
This event will offer you the opportunity to:
- Find out about the significant contribution Australian health informatics researchers and IT developers are making in the world medical informatics community
- Identify the key developments in international medical informatics
- Learn about the major issues and challenges that confront health informatics into the future
Presenters:
Dr. Farah Magrabi
Senior Research Fellow
Centre for Health Informatics Australian Institute for Health Innovation at the University of New South Wales.
"Architecture for pathology in the PCEHR"
Dr. Farah Magrabi is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Informatics within the Australian Institute for Health Innovation at the University of New South Wales. Farah leads the Centre’s research program on Patient Safety Informatics, focused on the safe and effective use of IT. She has a background in Electrical & Biomedical Engineering, and over 15 years experience in Health Informatics.
