Presenters Profiles

Gavin Jennings

Gavin Jennings was elected as the Member for Melbourne Province in September 1999 and re-elected at the November 2002 State Election. Following the Bracks Labor Government’s reforms to the Legislative Council, Gavin was elected to the South Eastern Metropolitan Region at the 2006 State Election.

Shadow Minister for Health and Mental Health since December 2010.

On 1 May 1997 Beth Wilson became Victoria’s Health Services Commissioner. She is a lawyer by training and has worked mainly in administrative law. Beth has had a long-standing interest in medico/legal and ethical issues.

Prior to becoming Health Services Commissioner, Beth was the President of the Mental Health Review Board, a Senior Legal Member of the Social Security Appeals Board and WorkCare Appeals Board and a past President of the Victorian Branch of ANZAPPL. In 2007 Beth was appointed a member of the Disability Services Board.

Craig Szucs

Craig holds the position of Change Manager for the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record with the National E-Health Transition Authority with a focus on supporting eHealth and PCEHR adoption across the health sector. Prior to this Craig spent seven years working within the General Practice Network, holding a number of project management and executive positions in State Based Organisations (SBOs) of the General Practice Network across Victoria and Western Australia before becoming Principal eHealth Adviser for the General Practice Network peak body the AGPN. Craig has experience in eHealth policy development, project management and a passion for driving eHealth adoption as a means for improving health outcomes in the community. Craig has tertiary qualifications in computer science and private sector experience in IT/IM implementation and administration.
