Glenda Gorrie, Department of Health Victoria
Glenda
Gorrie is a public servant who works for the Victorian Department of
Health. Glenda has worked in health for more than 20 years and was
originally a nurse specializing in infection control. In 2003 Glenda
made the transition from hospital to the then Department of Human
Services where she has worked as a manager in the quality and safety and
health workforce branches. Glenda is currently the Manager – Workforce
Projects Sector Workforce, Workforce Leadership and Development Branch.
Dr Louise Schaper, HISA
Dr
Louise Schaper’s appointment as CEO of HISA came on the back of 10 years
of experience in, and applied passion for, health informatics. With a
background as an occupational therapist and a PhD on technology
acceptance amongst healthcare professionals, Louise is a world leader in
allied health informatics. In addition to her role with HISA, Louise is
part of NEHTA’s Clinical Leads team and chairs the E-Health
International Advisory Group of the World Federation of Occupational
Therapists. As a leading Australian professional association, HISA
provides a focus for the e-health and health informatics community who
share a common passion for the role of technology and information in
improving Australian healthcare. HISA is a member-based organisation
that builds and supports communities of interest and provides national
leadership in e-health, extending across all States and Territories.
