Health, Innovation and the Law

Expert panel discussion followed by networking lunch

Join us for a thought-provoking exploration of the intersection between health, innovation and the law. This exclusive event, co-hosted by AIDH, RACMA, and AUSCL, is part of AIDH's Executives in Digital Health (EiDH) 2025 series.

The session will explore how the emerging regulatory complexities will shape the future of health innovation, health data governance, cybersecurity and the adoption of AI. The panel will also consider the global perspective, and what the changes sweeping across the US mean for technology and regulation in Australia.

Our panel of experts will explore the tensions between regulation and innovation through a wide, future-focused lens which will consider public interest, policy responses, economic factors and notable legal judgments in digital health.

What to Expect:

  • Insightful expert discussions: Provocative, forward-looking exploration of this key issue by our expert panel, followed by Q&A. Gain a deeper understanding of the likely direction of legislative and regulatory frameworks in health innovation.

  • Networking opportunities: Connect with C-suite, executive, and senior professionals from all branches of digital health, health leadership, and health law. Networking lunch is included as part of the event.  Build new connections, reignite old partnerships, and discuss insights in a more informal setting during the networking lunch.

Our Panel:

  • Dr. Catherine de Fontenay, Commissioner, Productivity Commission
  • Dr. Ian Opperman, Digital Economy Thought Leader, ServiceGen
  • Leah Mooney, Director, KPMG Law
