VR & Spatial Computing: Are they solving real world health problems yet?

Hosted by the AIDH NSW Branch Committee

Virtual Reality (VR) and spatial technologies are being applied to clinician training, designing care environments and helping treat patients. We're not short of ideas on how to apply these emerging technologies in healthcare, but often the gap from idea to implementation is large. We need real-world utility and practical outcomes. In this session, we’ll hear from clinicians and UX experts on the messier, more meaningful middle ground - where emerging tech meets health system complexity. Hear how they are putting spatial computing tools (VR, AR, MR, 3D interfaces, and more) to work today. They'll share practical examples, lessons learned, and a vision for where this tech can take us next. This session is ideal if you're a technologist, policymaker, or health practitioner, and a chance to challenge some assumptions and explore how to engage stakeholders in smarter, more immersive ways.
