Fake patients for real outcomes:
How synthetic data is transforming health research and innovation
Hosted by the AIDH NSW Branch Committee (In-Person)
Join us for the last AIDH NSW Branch Meet Up of the year to explore the growing role of synthetic health data in research and healthcare innovation.
Ben Hachey - Beamtree Assoc Prof of Clinical Informatics and Data Science - will demystify synthetic data, showing how it allows faster and more secure research while maintaining privacy. This session moves beyond theory, highlighting real-world examples of how Australian synthetic data could be used to address unique clinical and research challenges and improve patient outcomes.
Then hear from a panel of experts hosted by Peter Birch from Talking HealthTech, including voices from a data custodian, consumer representative and data scientist, who will share practical experiences and discuss the opportunities and barriers in the application of synthetic data in Australia.
Whether you're familiar with the field or just curious, this event will give you insights into how synthetic data could speed up the research and innovation cycle and get life-saving treatments into the hands of patients sooner.
