How do we best attract and retain digital health skills and expertise?
As healthcare is increasingly digitising, we require the right skills to lead, implement, operate, and support the digital systems for now and into the future. What attracts people to digital health and how can we provide better pathways to support their career? Can we map and build career pathways in digital health and informatics.
At this workshop we will explore the AIDH current workforce program efforts in building career pathways to support digital health and informatics professionalism. We seek to bring our interested Fellows up to speed on our work and have a facilitated discussion on attracting and retaining digital health skills and expertise in Australia. Career mapping and professional pathways is a key action in the National Digital Health Workforce Capability Action Plan (CAP) being led by the AIDH in partnership with the Australian Digital Health Agency.
In this workshop we will: • Provide a brief overview of the CAP and work to date
• Step through a draft model in career mapping and how we execute
• Working with a focus on in-demand and high priority roles
• Facilitated feedback
• Next steps
As a Fellow of AIDH, we value your feedback and insights into this important work and we look forward to seeing you there.
