Digital Health Institute Summit - Perth
Message from the Chair of the conference
Health professionals in Western Australia are on the verge of a decade-long transformational journey. The government is continuing to progress the state’s digital health agenda, with funding allocated in the budget for the expansion of digital medical
records, real-time data sharing, remote care and broader ICT infrastructure.
Clinicians and health professionals everywhere will be impacted in the near future, and certainly longer term, as digital health plays a greater role in how we manage our hospital and health system resources. Roles, jobs, and careers in healthcare will
continue to evolve and change. Most importantly, patients and consumers have growing expectations they will be able to receive care anytime, and from anywhere.
The Digital Health Institute Summit 2022 offers you the opportunity to find out more about delivering healthcare in the digital era. There is plenty for us to learn from the experiences of our counterparts in other states, and globally. The WA branch
of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health has developed an outstanding program designed to inspire as well as educate.
On behalf of the organising committee, I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to Western Australia in August for DHIS 2022.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Giles Nunis.
