Webinar: What is service design and why does it matter?
Presented by the UX Network Community of Practice
Service design is essential when painting a picture of its customers' challenges and surfaces opportunities for the business to provide new products and services within its capabilities. It looks beyond the customers' interactions with a single product
or service by looking at the entire ecosystem and identifying what will drive the customers to use the business' products and services and be more enticing than its competitors.
To achieve this, service designers apply human-centred design methodologies and study the end-to-end movements of the customer, their touchpoints with products and services, pain points, and co-design solutions with the business to alleviate these pains.
Taking a human-centred approach to designing solutions that help the customer's day to day tasks makes the business more competitive with better product and service value offerings.
