As the Government reviews its national digital health strategy and priorities, we look at the opportunities and challenges in Australian healthcare system reform and change. Over the last 18 months, we have witnessed the benefits of digital health starting to shine through in the form of daily reporting of COVID-19 data, the funding and uptake of telehealth and virtual care as modes of healthcare delivery, and electronic prescribing becoming more standard business practice.
