Aged care in the New Age
Hosted by the AIDH NSW branch
No scented candles or dreamcatchers in this “New Age” session. But, in this peri-pandemic New Normal, there will be insights and discourse from a distinguished panel of speakers, highlighting the opportunities offered by technology and informatics in
aged-care delivery and healthcare. So, how can patients' needs remain central to service delivery and how can technology be implemented to enhance workflows, rather than adding to the bureaucratic burden? How can care-teams use technology to better
communicate and collaborate in patient management?
John Sutherland will highlight the CIO’s challenges in delivering strategic objectives and innovation in aged care and offer a glimmer of future potential. Dr Lisa Kouladjian O’Donnell will outline the research and development of G-MEDSS, a novel decision
support solution aimed at optimising the cocktail of medications accumulated by elderly patients. Dr Melanie Wroth will join the panel to bring focus on the centrality of the patient, emphasising the needs of clinicians in offering improved care for
the elderly. The panel Q&A will be moderated expertly by Dr George Margelis
Proudly sponsored by Peacock Bros. and supported by EY.
