Tackling the digital divide: Challenges, insights and successes
Hosted by the AIDH VIC branch
Digital technology has changed the way we live. Whether it is the ease with which we make purchases, to staying connected over long distances or accessing information from anywhere in the world, the digital age is well and truly upon us. However, while technology has brought many of us closer together many studies have shown it also has the potential to divide us, widening a gap between the digital haves and have nots. For such transformative technology this would be a terrible shame.
This panel session is about tackling that digital divide and sharing our insights on the challenges and solutions of this important issue as we strive for a more equitable society. We will look at the issue from both a client and a service provider perspective and share some of the success stories both here in Australia and around the world in the search for a solution.
