Innovating midwifery with technology
Hosted by the AIDH-Nursing.Midwifery Community of Practice.
To celebrate the name change of Nursing Informatics Australia to AIDH-Nursing.Midwifery, the Australasian Institute of Digital Health is eager to shine a spotlight on the talent of digitally engaged midwives across the country. Unlike nurses, midwives interact predominantly with healthy women who are undergoing a natural phase of life. There is a growing body of digital tools and platforms that midwives have created to either improve the outcomes for women and babies or to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their interactions with women and babies. This event will showcase six of these innovations that focus on the interactions of midwives with their client cohort.
A further event held later in the year will explore this further, as well as highlighting a range of innovations available to women considering pregnancy, who are pregnant, or have given birth.
