A year after making the transition from Australia to Canada, Dr Damian Claydon-Platt reflects on his transition and shares what he has learned along the way. From leading a team of 3 at Epworth Healthcare in Victoria, Damian has taken on a team of 226 who look after 210 clinical applications across multiple provincial programs and acute health services, as well as supporting the two largest health authorities which manage the biggest hospitals in Metro Vancouver. He is currently working on a $1 billion EMR implementation to roll out Cerner across three of seven health authorities across the province – about 45 sites in total, with a plan to rollout across another 35 sites in the next 2 years.
A must-attend for clinical informatics leaders and those interested in Clinical Informatics. It will be followed by a QandA session with Dr Claydon-Platt.
