Data linkage and end of year celebrations

How much do you know about data linkage? Would you like to learn?

At this event, you will be updated with the latest changes in the data linkage landscape from the Centre for Health and Record Linkage (CHeReL) including the recent legislative shift. Healthdirect Australia will follow by presenting their experience with one of the largest telehealth data linkages ever conducted - the mapping of the outcomes of calls to the healthdirect helpline.

Using data linkage to map and assess the outcome of calls to the afterhours GP helpline

Latest changes in the data linkage landscape

The Centre for Health and Record Linkage (CHeReL)
The CHeReL was established in 2006 as a dedicated data linkage unit and is managed by the NSW Ministry of Health. Their mission is to create and sustain a record linkage infrastructure for the health and human services sectors, and provide access to these resources to bona fide researchers and health planners and policy makers.

Dr Elizabeth Moore Research Project Manager, Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL)

Elizabeth provides advice and assistance to researchers on the design, cost and feasibility of data linkage studies. Before joining the CHeReL, Elizabeth worked in government (Justice Health and Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research) and academic (UNSW and National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre) roles. She has considerable experience in research design and data analysis.
