Enhanced clinical engagement in e-heath ...it's not a technology game anymore

Dr John Lambert CCIO, eHealth NSW

National HISA update

Dr Louise Schaper CEO, HISA

Louise is an innovator and a change agent who doesn’t sit still and whose passion and enthusiasm for health informatics is shaping a new future for HISA. Her appointment as CEO came on the back of 10 years of experience in, and applied passion for, health informatics. With a background as an occupational therapist and a PhD on technology acceptance amongst healthcare professionals, Louise is a world leader in allied health informatics and is intimately connected to Australia’s substantial health reform efforts, where e-health is a key enabler to achieving high quality, safe, sustainable and patient-centred care. In addition to her leadership of HISA, Louise is part of NEHTA’s Clinical Leads team and previously chaired the E-Health International Advisory Group of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.

Registration Fees

New South Wales has a growing community of e-health and health informatics proponents, leaders and experts. Our branch of HISA continues to attract a diverse and influential audience across the spectrum of health. HISA NSW members will be invited to participate in the HISA NSW AGM. We hope all HISA members in New South Wales will be able to take part following the presentations.

Slides are available post event to HISA members only. If you would like further information on HISA membership please click here.

Getting to the venue
Bus 470 Circular Quay to Lilyfield – bus stop is directly across the road coming to Lilyfield and the bus stop is directly outside the actual building going to Circular Quay
Bus 370 Leichhardt to Coogee via Newtown – bus stop is across the road about 100 meters

Light Rail
The closest light rail station is Lilyfield, and it is a 600 metre (<10 min) flat road walk up Catherine Street – well lit and a safe street to walk at night.

If approaching from the city on the Western Distributor, the Balman Road exit is taken and then left into Moore St. If approaching from the west on the Western Distributor, the Norton Street exit (right turn) is taken and then left into Short St, left into Balmain Road, and then right into Moore St. NB You cannot turn left into Catherine Street from the Western Distributor coming from the city, and you cannot turn right into Balmain Road from the Western Distributor coming from the west. Parking is available under the building and also there is plenty of unmetered untimed parking on the streets surrounding the building.
