Clinical collaboration: How RPH are innovating from within

As WA progresses its digital health journey, there is always a drive to find cost effective ways to digitally innovate and add value to patients and clinicians. When Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) clinicians identified the need to find new ways to collaborate, and to effectively combine persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage and application integration, they found an innovative technical solution that supports better outcomes for both clinicians and patients.

This event showcases their journey, how they developed a great clinical use case and its impact on both clinicians and patients.

Presentation will cover:

The journey and achievements to date

The implementation (technical and operational) challenges

 Benefits delivered

 Lessons learnt along the way

What the clinical team is planning next

Dr Sumit Sinha-Roy, Deputy Director of Clinical Services, the clinical lead for this project and the driving force from RPH.

Sherman Kwan, PGY2 RMO with an interest in surgery, digital innovation, and environmental responsibility, who is also JMO representative on EMHS's Digital and Data Innovation Group, Microsoft Teams Project Control Group, and End User Computing Project.

Helen McLeish, a manger from the Data Digital Innovation unit at RPH, who has been instrumental in delivering this work.

Ryan Shepard, RPH project officer who has been ably supporting the project and ensuring everyone stays on track.

Charles Poulsen, Technology Strategist at Microsoft, who has supported RPH in navigating the Microsoft Teams journey ensuing they leverage the tool.

Come along and join us at Royal Perth Hospital, in the Bruce Hunt Lecture Theatre, from 6pm on Thursday the 31st of October 2019 to learn more about this ground breaking innovation.
